Custom Tile Installation
in Peterborough, Ontario & The Kawarthas
Straight lines. Tight cuts. Waterproof systems. The kind of tile work homeowners in Peterborough, Ontario trust.
The Real Cost of Bad Tile Work
Cheap Tile Installation Always Costs More Later
Lippage and uneven tiles
You can feel the edges with your feet. One tile is higher than the next. It looks rushed because it was.
Cracking within the first year
Tiles pop and crack because the substrate wasn't prepped properly. Now you need to rip everything out and start over.
Water leaking behind the walls
No waterproofing membrane was installed. The moisture is behind your tile right now — rotting the framing, growing mold you can't see.
The Aksel Difference
Tile Work You'll Never Have to Redo
We install tile the way it should be done.
- Proper substrate prep.
- Full Schlüter or Kerdi waterproofing membranes.
- Precision laser-leveled layouts.
- And tight, consistent grout lines that make every wall look like it belongs in a magazine.
- We're not general contractors who "also do tile." Tile is our craft — and homeowners in Peterborough, Ontario know the difference.

How It Works
How Great Tile Work Gets Done
Design & Layout Planning
We visit your home in Peterborough, Ontario or the Kawarthas and map your tile layout to the millimetre. Pattern direction, cut placement, focal points — all planned before a single tile is set.
Substrate & Waterproofing
We prep the surface, level it, and install a full waterproofing system. This is the step most contractors skip. We never do.
Precision Tile Setting
Laser-leveled. Consistent spacing. Clean cuts around fixtures. We set each tile with the care it deserves.
Grouting, Sealing & Inspection
Professional grouting, full sealing, and a joint walkthrough. We don't leave until every line is perfect.
Waterproof. Precision-cut. Installed by tile specialists, not GCs
