Be Honest, Peterborough, Ontario
When's the Last Time You Actually Used That Tub?
A tub nobody uses
It takes up half your bathroom, collects dust, and the last time anyone took a bath was... you can't even remember.
A real safety hazard
Stepping over that high tub wall is an accident waiting to happen — especially for older family members or young kids on wet floors.
A bathroom that feels small and dated
That bulky tub makes your bathroom feel cramped and stuck in the '90s. You deserve a space that feels open and modern.

Your Options
Walk-In Shower Options We Build
Curbless (zero-threshold) showers
The shower floor sits flush with the bathroom floor, so there is nothing to step over at all. The floor is sloped to the drain and the waterproofing is carried out past the opening. Whether it's possible depends on what's under your bathroom floor, which we check during the consultation.
Low-threshold showers
A shallow lip replaces the tub wall, so you step over something closer to a stair nosing than a bathtub. It contains water reliably and usually fits the existing tub footprint without structural work. It's the most direct route for a straight tub swap.
Custom tile showers
Full tile gives you the widest range of looks, along with custom patterns, feature walls and detailed niches. Every tile shower is built over a bonded waterproofing system with sealed corners and penetrations, because tile and grout are a wearing surface, not a water barrier.
Acrylic wall panels
Grout-free, waterproof panels that wipe clean and take far less time to install than tile. A strong choice if scrubbing grout is what pushed you into this project. Available in a wide range of stone-look and grout-look styles.
Frameless glass
Frameless panels and doors give the cleanest sightlines and let the most light into the room. Glass is measured after the walls are finished so it fits the space as built. In tighter bathrooms, a fixed panel or screen is often the more practical choice.
Budget
What a Walk-In Shower Costs in Peterborough, Ontario
Most tub-to-shower conversions in Peterborough, Ontario run between $5,000–$15,000. Where a project lands in that range comes down to a handful of decisions you make with us during the in-home consultation.
What moves the price
- Size of the shower and the bathroom it sits in
- Tile versus acrylic wall panels
- Glass type — frameless, fixed panel or screen
- Bench, fold-down seat and recessed niches
- Plumbing moves, including drain relocation and added fixtures
You get a fixed price for the agreed scope before any work begins — not a range that shifts partway through the job.
The Result
Step In Without Stepping Over
No tub wall.
- No shower curtain bunching up.
- Just a wide, open entry into a tiled shower with frameless glass that floods the room with light.
- A rainfall showerhead.
- A built-in niche for your products.
- A bench if you want one.
- This isn't just safer — it's the bathroom you've been scrolling past on Pinterest.
